One of the standout highlights of Mau P’s monumental Coachella 2025 performance was the debut of his unreleased track “Tesla,” which immediately set social media abuzz.

The song, driven by the sleek, throbbing basslines that have become the Dutch producer’s signature, playfully proclaims, “I just popped a Tesla, ain’t no need to charge,” nodding to the myriad ways fans channel energy on the dance floor. Although it quickly inspired countless TikTok and Instagram clips, Mau P reveals that he wasn’t always confident the track would resonate.

“No one had faith in this song until I dropped it at Coachella and watched it explode online,” Mau P tells Billboard. “Trust your instincts and own your vision.”

True to that belief, “Tesla” is set for release on Friday, August 8, via Insomniac Records. Ahead of the official launch, we’re proud to premiere the track alongside footage from Mau P’s electrifying Sahara tent sets, which drew tens of thousands across both weekends. Listen to “Tesla” below:

This release crowns a landmark week for Mau P, who launched his Baddest Behavior residency at Pacha Ibiza on Wednesday, August 6, alongside Mita Gami and Discip. Baddest Behavior continues every Wednesday through October 8, featuring luminaries such as Seth Troxler, LP Giobbi, Hot Since 82, Haai, WhoMadeWho, Jan Blomqvist, and more.

His forthcoming tour schedule also includes festival appearances at Creamfields, Portola, and III Points, complemented by headline performances at L.A. State Historic Park, Red Rocks Amphitheater, and beyond.
