Evil Must Prevail: Russian Studio’s Lords of Ravage Tactics Game Launches October 15
Sakhalin-based studio Synthetic Domain will release its new title, Lords of Ravage, on Steam on October 15, 2025. The game is a reverse dungeon-crawler in which you command three Lords of Ravage as they advance on a hero with the goal of annihilating them.
The title merges turn-based combat with roguelite systems and 2.5D visuals reminiscent of the recent FF 2D-HD releases, and it offers difficulty settings geared toward hardcore players. The developers aimed to make the project approachable for casual players while still rewarding fans of deep tactical gameplay.
Unlike the usual “cartoonish evil” trope, each boss is given motivation and narrative weight so players can connect with their villainy rather than merely manipulating a soulless puppet that razes villages on a whim. The game will launch as a full 1.0 release — there will be no early access period or pre-orders.
Players will lead an army of minions, combine units from different factions, and face heroes in turn-based tactical clashes. Three Lords are available: Lord Berold, the mage Zavris, and the demoness Azneya. You’ll develop your forces, deploy Edicts and artifacts, bribe the nobility, and manipulate events across kingdoms to weaken enemies before the final showdown.
Expect a varied roster of foes with unique mechanics, a non-linear storyline, high-quality pixel art enhanced by modern visual effects, strong replayability, and freedom of tactical approach. The studio promises a deep, cinematic strategic RPG set in a grim fantasy world.
