Erin Andrews Shares What She Texted Taylor Swift After Seeing Those Racy “Life of a Showgirl” Photos

Taylor Swift’s bold new photo series for her upcoming Life of a Showgirl album left sports commentator Erin Andrews absolutely stunned.

On the August 22 episode of Andrews’s Calm Down podcast with Charissa Thompson, released on YouTube, Andrews described her reaction to the risqué visuals. The October 3 album cover finds Swift reclining in a bathtub wearing only a gem-studded bodysuit, while additional shots display her in sleek, cutout showgirl costumes.

“I was absolutely gobsmacked!” Andrews laughed. “We fired off a text to Taylor right away: ‘Good morning!’”

“Then we added, ‘Body-ody!’” Thompson joined in. “She looked sensational.”

Thompson admitted the photos instantly motivated her to hit the gym. Their conversation follows Swift’s reveal of the album art on the Kelce brothers’ New Heights podcast, where she shared that she recorded Life of a Showgirl during brief respites from her global Eras Tour last year.

“We asked, ‘When did you squeeze this in? You’ve been touring nonstop—yet you’d fly to Sweden on your off days to record!’” Thompson said. “Her dedication is astonishing.”

“Even stripping away the ‘Taylor Swift’ name, if you simply listed her accomplishments—the concept, the execution, the rollout—anyone would be in awe,” Andrews added.

Beyond admiration, Andrews and Thompson played matchmaker for Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. After Kelce lamented missing his chance to give Swift his number at an Eras concert in 2023, the hosts nudged her on their show to take a chance on him. Kelce later quipped, “I owe you big time!”

The four have since become close friends. Kelce’s recent Instagram post featured the group enjoying a snowy day out together.
