Eric Church Sets His ‘Heart on Fire’ for Scorching 2021 CMA Awards Performance

Eric Church literally lit up the stage for his “Heart on Fire” performance at the 2021 Country Music Association Awards on Wednesday evening (Nov. 10) live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena.

While setting the stage ablaze, Church brought his and his backup singer Joanna Cotten’s fiery wailing and scorching guitar solo to the forefront of his performance.

“Heart on Fire” was released in July as the second single from the first album of his Heart & Soul three-part compilation, and the song broke into the top 40 of the Billboard Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts.

He’s one of the evening’s top nominees with five nods, including entertainer of the year, male vocalist of the year and album of the year with Heart.

Two-time entertainer of the year winner Luke Bryan made his hosting debut at the 55th annual CMA Awards.
