Fortnite developer Epic Games has known as out analyst Superdata about its Fortnite stories.
Every month, market intelligence group Superdata, a Nielsen firm, publishes a report in regards to the well being of digital markets. The report covers the highest earners on PC, consoles and cellular.
Needless to say, the success of Fortnite made it a daily goal for evaluation on these stories. Superdata’s January report stated that Fortnite’s income has hit its lowest level since November 2017.
While Epic Games didn’t reply to this specifc report, the developer stated it takes situation with Superdata’s findings usually, questioning its analysts’ methodology in a press release to Games Industry.
“Superdata does not and has not ever had access to Epic’s Fortnite revenue data, and Superdata’s reports do not accurately reflect Fortnite’s performance,” an Epic consultant stated.
“We are disappointed that Superdata has repeatedly published wildly inaccurate reports about Fortnite based on what we believe is questionable methodology. While we do not and have not publicly shared revenue numbers for Fortnite, we will say that Superdata’s reports do not align with reality.”
In response, Superdata informed Games Industry that it stands behind its stories, whose information is predicated on “a proven methodology and validation process.”
