Harry Potter star Emma Watson has spoken candidly for the first time about her relationship with author J.K. Rowling, who faced intense criticism on social media after making remarks about transgender people.
On Jay Shetty’s podcast, the actress admitted she is not prepared to remove the writer from her life, even though many of Rowling’s comments were hurtful to her.
“Under no circumstances would I erase her,” the actress emphasized.
It’s worth noting that after the controversy erupted, many members of the Potter cast distanced themselves from J.K. Rowling, including the young actors who played Hogwarts’ so‑called golden trio — Harry, Ron, and Hermione.
