Emma Roberts, widely recognized for her work in Scream 4 and American Horror Story, has been tapped to star in a television reimagining of the romantic comedy Bride Wars. The project is billed as a contemporary spin on the 2009 film which originally featured Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson.
The narrative of the new series will center on rival wedding planners in North Carolina, chronicling the escalating friction and professional feud that erupts between them.
The show is slated for a debut on the Peacock streaming platform, though an official premiere date has yet to be announced.
