Elizabeth Banks to Star in New Movie About Winning a Date With Prince
Elizabeth Banks is about to star in Queen for a Day—a brand new movie based mostly on Chris Lee’s 2017 story for the Daily Beast, “When Prince Made a Chambermaid His Queen For a Day,” as Deadline stories. The movie will observe the true-life story of Lisa Barber, a resident of Sheridan, Wyoming, who gained a contest in 1986 that concerned a date with Prince, plus a live performance and movie screening in her hometown.
According to Deadline, Prince won’t be a personality within the movie: “The movie will focus on the herculean effort that went into organizing an event that brought the 5’3″ purple-clad rock icon to a small cowboy town and established his date as a reluctant media sensation.” In different Prince film information, Spike Lee’s new movie BlacKkKlansman includes a uncommon recording of Prince singing the non secular “Mary Don’t You Weep.”
