Looks just like the Borderlands film has a director, and it’s actor, director, and producer Eli Roth.
News of Roth’s position within the Borderlands film was tweeted by Gearbox Software boss Randy Pitchford in a single day.
Pitchford rapidly deleted the tweet, however fortunately Kotaku took a screenshot of it.
The motive it was deleted, is seemingly the information was to be introduced throughout Gearbox’s stage present at Pax East on February 28. Cat’s out of the bag now, although.
A Borderlands film was first announced back in 2015 when it was revealed Lionsgate was creating it alongside Arad Productions. Avi Arad and his son Ari Arad labored on Iron Man, Spider Man, The Amazing Spider Man, X-Men, Ghost Rider and Blade. The movie was re-confirmed as being in development final 12 months.
Eli Roth is thought for producing Hostel and Cabin Fever, and as an actor he performed Comrade Ivan in The House with a Clock in Its Walls and most notably, Sgt. Donny Donowitz in Inglourious Basterds.
