Elden Ring Publisher to Shut Down Servers for The Day Before and Convert It Into an Offline Game

Synduality Echo of Ada will continue to exist as a PvE game.

Many players know Bandai Namco Entertainment as the publisher of Dark Souls, Elden Ring, and numerous projects based on various anime franchises. However, the company also released Synduality Echo of Ada last year, a game that received a multitude of negative reviews on Steam.

Players hit the thumbs-down button so often that Synduality Echo of Ada entered the top 100 worst games based on user ratings, landing in 50th place between the American football simulator EA SPORTS College Football 27 and a cultivation role-playing game called Jianghu Eleven (which lacks localizations).

In September 2026, the developers announced plans to shut down the online services in May of next year. At the same time, Synduality Echo of Ada itself will continue to exist as the game is reformatted into an offline project:

Synduality Echo of Ada is currently a PvPvE extraction shooter, and after the servers close, it will simply be a PvE extraction game. According to the story, events unfold in 2222, many years after a mysterious poisonous rain called the Tears of the New Moon fell on the planet. It destroyed most of humanity and caused the emergence of monsters that hunt survivors. To survive, the remnants of humanity built an underground refuge and also use combat transport called CRAGs to explore the surface and gather resources.
