Academy Award winner Eddie Redmayne (*The Theory of Everything*, *Fantastic Beasts*) is set to lead a new, untitled project from acclaimed Japanese filmmaker Hirokazu Kore-eda, the visionary behind the Palme d’Or-winning *Shoplifters*.
The upcoming feature will be filmed in English. While specific character details and plot points are currently being kept under wraps, it has been confirmed that Redmayne will also serve as a producer on the film.
The actor was most recently seen in the high-stakes series *The Day of the Jackal*. His upcoming slate includes Sam Esmail’s thriller *Panic Carefully* and Charlie Kaufman’s *Later the War*. Meanwhile, Kore-eda is expected to release his adaptation of the manga *Look Back* later this year.
