Drake Low-Key Celebrated His BBMA Artist of the Decade Award By Renting 70,000-Seat Football Stadium

Drake found the Drake-est way to celebrate his Artist of the Decade Award after Sunday night’s 2021 BBMA: renting out the new 70,000-capacity SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California for a little party with this team. “Never show anger at slight. Tell nothing. Earn respect from everyone by deeds, not words,” Drizzy wrote alongside a photo of his crew posing on the field of the new stadium that is home to the L.A. Rams and Chargers.

“Respect the members of your blood family. Gambling is recreation, not a way to earn a living. Love your father, your mother, your sister, think harder about who you call your brothers and beware of loving any woman other than your wife…” Oh, and of course they also had a catered dinner at the 50-yard-line as a giant video screen read “Congratulations Drake! Artist of the Decade.”

It was a beautiful way to cap a major night for the rapper, 34, who was honored at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday night with his whole OVO team, along with his parents, who presented him with the prestigious award. His manager, Future the Prince, had glowing praise for the self-proclaimed 6 God, labeling him as “the most kind, selfless, generous person we know.”

According to E!, among those who joined Drake at his stadium dinner were DJ Khaled, Doja Cat, Sza and another big winner at Sunday’s show, The Weeknd. “There are huge champagne towers and several bars set up throughout the stadium,” a source reportedly told E! “Drake also has cute album books featuring his favorite moments through his career set up around the stadium.”
