Dragon Ball Super Panel at NYCC Teases Possible Release Date

Dragon Ball fans have received many updates this year. Announcements range from the official reveal of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 at Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026 to the reveal of Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol in January. Next in line is Dragon Ball Super: Beerus, which marks the fourth rendition of Beerus’ introduction. The project carries a scheduled premiere for fall 2026, and a recent announcement provides the first clue about when that premiere might happen.

The official Dragon Ball site announced on Friday that the franchise will return to New York Comic Con in October. Attendees will recognize this pattern because Dragon Ball regularly sets up a large booth near the entrance featuring merchandise and exhibits. A giant character always stands at the front, such as the Orange Piccolo display from 2023.

“The booth will be filled with tons of exhibits, featuring Dragon Ball games, figures, and even the new Dragon Ball Super: Beerus anime that’s premiering this fall,” the news post states. While mentioning the anime does not confirm whether the booth will display new merchandise or behind-the-scenes artwork, past events suggest the anime’s presence points to an imminent release.

A similar timeline occurred during the previous anime launch. Dragon Ball Daima debuted in Japan on Oct. 11, 2024. Exactly one week later, the series held a dedicated panel at New York Comic Con on Oct. 17. Goku voice actor Stephanie Nadolny spoke on stage, Glorio’s English voice actor Aaron Dismuke was announced, and new Akira Toriyama concept art appeared before the panel concluded with a screening of the first Dragon Ball Daima episode.

If Toei Animation follows past patterns, a panel dedicated to Dragon Ball Super: Beerus could arrive near its release date. Toei Animation has not shared an exact premiere date beyond the fall 2026 window, but October falls directly inside that timeframe.

NYCC panels have not been finalized yet, but Dragon Ball is expected to host one again. Fans will have to wait to see if that panel spotlights Dragon Ball Super: Beerus. At a minimum, the booth’s large inflatable mascot will likely depict the God of Destruction Beerus.
