The death of the Cranberries’ singer Dolores O’Riordan this previous January was a “tragic accident,” an inquest at Westminster Coroner’s Court has heard. The BBC reports that O’Riordan died by drowning after ingesting an extreme quantity of alcohol in her lodge bathtub, in line with the coroner’s report. O’Riordan, who was 46, had no accidents or indicators of self-harm, the inquest was informed.
Police who attended the scene of O’Riordan’s loss of life mentioned they discovered 5 empty, miniature bottles and an empty bottle of champagne, in addition to prescription drug containers with some tablets remaining. Toxicology stories confirmed solely “therapeutic” quantities of remedy in her blood, in line with the BBC.
