Some industry players have already reacted to the operating system maker’s announcement.
Recently Capcom reached out to the PC Monster Hunter community. The developers plan to end Windows 10 support for several titles:
“Microsoft will end support for Windows 10 on October 14, 2025. Consequently, from that date we can no longer guarantee that Monster Hunter: World, Monster Hunter Rise, and Monster Hunter Wilds will function on Windows 10 systems.”
Capcom’s withdrawal of support does not mean those games will immediately stop launching, but the Monster Hunter team warned that future updates could make the games incompatible with Windows 10.
