Denuvo Fully Cracked in Crimson Desert Without Hypervisor Five Months After Release

A well-known hacker has bypassed the Denuvo protection in another video game.

Hacker voices38 has returned to announce a new victory, successfully cracking Denuvo in the widely discussed game Crimson Desert. The game launched in mid-March, meaning the crack arrived nearly 5 months after release.

Crimson Desert used only Denuvo alongside the standard Steam DRM system. Hacker voices38 did not reveal any other technical details.

The game was previously bypassed using a hypervisor, which simply circumvented Denuvo, but that method required disabling PC security systems. Hacker voices38 practices old-school cracking.

Because developer Pearl Abyss regularly releases patches for Crimson Desert, tech enthusiasts also frequently release updated hypervisor bypasses for the game.

The creators of Crimson Desert have not yet announced any plans to remove Denuvo. Some players believe that it would be logical to drop the protection now that it has been cracked.
