Demi Lovato Calls Jonas Brothers Reunion ‘Healing’: ‘We’ve Been Through So Much Together’

Demi Lovato wouldn’t change a thing about their recent onstage reunion with the Jonas Brothers.

On the latest episode of Chicks in the Office, released August 12—just two days after her surprise cameo at the brothers’ 20th-anniversary tour opener—Lovato described performing “This Is Me” and “Wouldn’t Change a Thing” alongside Joe, Nick and Kevin as profoundly cathartic. “It felt incredible,” they reflected. “Reconnecting with everyone and feeling the crowd’s energy warmed my heart and uplifted my spirit.”

“It was so healing,” Lovato added. “We’ve all been through a lot together. Spending time with the Jonas Brothers again meant the world to me.”

The invitation itself came just days before showtime. “Joe called me last week and said, ‘What are you doing next week? You’ve been part of our story, and this night is important to us. We’d love to have you there,’” they recalled.

Backstage, Joe, Nick and Kevin spent time getting to know her husband, Jordan “Jutes” Lutes—whom Lovato married in May—which she called “one of the most meaningful moments.” “Seeing them welcome him with open arms was truly special,” she said.

Both acts are embarking on new creative chapters: the Jonas Brothers released their album Greetings From Your Hometown on August 8, while Lovato dropped her single “Fast” a week earlier. In between, she’s been embracing nostalgia—revisiting her viral frozen yogurt critique and recreating her famous “Disney knees” at Disneyland.

When the offer came to perform at MetLife, her response was instantaneous: “Absolutely—let’s do it,” she shared. “In this new era of mine, I’m embracing throwbacks, and performing ‘This Is Me’ again felt perfectly right. It was a full-circle moment.”
