Deerhunter are again. They’ve introduced a brand new album referred to as Why Hasn’t Everything Already Disappeared?, out January 18 (by way of 4AD). “Death in Midsummer” is its first single. Why Hasn’t Everything Already Disappeared? follows 2015’s Fading Frontier. Album monitor “No One’s Sleeping” considerations British MP Jo Cox, who was murdered in 2016 by a Neo-Nazi. The new file was produced by Cate Le Bon, the band, Ben H. Allen III, and Ben Etter. Cate Le Bon’s DRINKS collaborator Tim Presley seems on the music “Futurism.” This previous May, Deerhunter launched Double Dream of Spring, a tour-only cassette.
