Three-time Academy Award winner Daniel Day-Lewis (There Will Be Blood) has said he plans to return to filmmaking.
“A certain appetite seems to arise whenever something truly captivates me, and I believe that could very easily happen… I certainly have no intention of avoiding it,” the actor told Empire.
Earlier he denied reports that he had ended his acting career. Day-Lewis’s first project since 2017, the family drama Anemone, is due to be released internationally on October 3. The film was directed by his son, Ronan Day-Lewis.
