On Tuesday, August 26, the Super Bowl–winning tight end formally announced their betrothal, revealing that the pair will soon exchange vows.

Still, within the Kelce clan, this news hardly qualifies as breaking; Ed Kelce confirms his son proposed earlier in the month.

In an interview with News 5’s John Kosich, Ed Kelce shared, “Travis actually asked her about two weeks ago. He’d planned to save the moment for this week, to stage something grand, but I reminded him that you don’t need a spectacle—you simply bend the knee and ask.”

The proposal unfolded in the lush garden of the couple’s residence in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. Ed Kelce recounted, “They stepped outside for a glass of wine before dinner, and that’s when he popped the question. They FaceTimed me, their mother, and Taylor’s family to share the joyous moment.”

The Kelce family is ecstatic to welcome a superstar into their fold.

“They’re two young individuals deeply in love, navigating a spotlight they never sought but have embraced through their remarkable achievements,” Ed Kelce remarked.
