Earlier this week, it was reported that a number of girls had come ahead on social media with accounts of sexual misconduct and predatory behavior from the singer-songwriter Garrett Clark Borns (higher referred to as BØRNS). One lady, with the Twitter deal with @alyssaadaniele, alleged that Borns had begun “grooming” her after they met following one in every of his exhibits when she was 16 years outdated. She said that Borns waited till she was 18 to have intercourse together with her. Another lady, with the Twitter deal with @kaliforxnia, mentioned she was “completely taken advantage of” after being invited to his condominium and given alcohol.
Now, the D.C.-based music pageant All Things Go Fall Classic has introduced BØRNS has been dropped from its lineup. The two-day fest is about to happen October 6-7 at Union Market. Organizers despatched the next assertion to Pitchfork:

In the wake of the allegations, Borns launched an announcement that mentioned, “I am both hurt and angered over the disturbing and false allegations that have been spread over the past few days on social media. All of the relationships I have had were legal and consensual. They ended abruptly and that obviously caused hurt feelings, but for anyone to suggest anything beyond that is irresponsible.” The girls who beforehand got here ahead have since detailed their preliminary accusations with screenshots and lengthier statements, expressing disappointment with Borns’ response.
