Cyberpsychosis Strikes Former Night City King in Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Season 2 Clip

The sequel will tell a standalone story about retribution and redemption.

Netflix has released a new clip from the anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, focusing on Wick Kingsley, the former “king” of Night City. He was once considered one of the city’s top mercenaries until excessive implant use drove him to cyberpsychosis.

The second season will tell a standalone story set in the Cyberpunk 2077 universe, focusing on retribution and redemption. Kingsley will be one of the sequel’s four central characters. Alongside him, the story will feature Dee, a netrunner searching for his clan’s killer; Roman Carax, a cinephile; and Thalia Young, a former corporate worker who joined the Maelstrom gang.

Studio Trigger is returning to produce the second season. Kai Ikarashi, who previously directed the sixth episode of Edgerunners, sits in the director’s chair. Masahiko Otsuka wrote the screenplay, and Ichigo Kanno designed the characters. Bartosz Sztybor, who worked on the first season, returned to the project as showrunner and producer.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 will consist of 10 episodes. It will premiere on Netflix on October 20, 2026.
