Control Resonant Sets Remedy Steam Peak as Players Give Positive Reviews
Control: Resonant set a new Steam record for Remedy by peaking at over 40,000 concurrent players, taking the top spot among the platform’s bestsellers, and earning 89% positive reviews.
The game also received Universal Acclaim status among Metacritic users. At the same time, the source notes a noticeable gap between player scores and professional critic reviews, though there is no evidence that critics intentionally lowered their scores.

An unusual reaction from a segment of the piracy community has also been noted separately, with some members urging those who can afford it to purchase Control: Resonant to support Remedy. There are no data on the scale of this phenomenon.

This success on Steam is especially important for Remedy because Control: Resonant significantly outperformed the original Control in peak concurrent players. The first installment reached approximately 9,100 concurrent players, whereas the new game crossed the 40,000 mark.
