Connecticut Rockers Goose Announce the Return of Goosemas Live: ‘We Couldn’t Be More Stoked!’

Connecticut rockers Goose are playing their first arena concert this December. Goose will hold their eight annual Goosemas event at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., on Dec. 18.

The holiday event first took roots in the basement of a Norwalk, Conn., music studio and will now top off the group’s 19-date national fall tour. At the arena, Goose will take the stage for three sets with additional surprises promised.

“We’re so stoked to host Goosemas back home in Connecticut,” said Goose guitarist-vocalist Rick Mitarotonda in a release. “It has truly been incredible to see how the event has grown over the past few years, and we can’t wait to do it again in front of a live audience.”

Due to the pandemic, Goose was unable to host fans for the 2020 Goosemas celebration so they turned to streaming. The band hosted Goosemas on the roof of Rockefeller Center in New York, which livestreamed exclusively on Twitch. The concert drew over 60,000 viewers worldwide and raised $45,000 for Conscious Alliance and Save Our Stages.

“We are so grateful to everyone who will make plans to travel to Mohegan; this will be our biggest show to date and we couldn’t be more stoked!” added guitarist-keyboardist-vocalist Peter Anspach.

Prior to Goosemas, the band will perform throughout the U.S. on their fall tour, including sold-out stops at Terminal 5 in New York, the new Eastern in Atlanta, The HiFi in Dallas and Mission Ballroom in Denver. In 2022, the group will continue to the West Coast to play sold-out shows in California, Washington and Oregon. Goose’s current schedule closes out on Feb. 7 at The ELM in Bozeman, Mont.

Initial tickets for Goosemas will be available through a lottery with a request period running now through Wednesday (Aug. 25) at 5 p.m. ET. Winners will be notified before the general onsale beginning Friday at 10 a.m. ET.
