Square Enix has uploaded a video comparison showcasing the graphics of Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade across PS5, Xbox Series, PC, and Switch 2. Originally posted on Weibo, the clip has since appeared on YouTube. The outcome is striking: the Switch 2 build looks excellent despite the platform’s hardware constraints.
The footage clearly shows the Switch 2 maintaining strong image quality even when placed side‑by‑side with more powerful systems. Square Enix previously confirmed the Switch 2 version runs at 30 fps. The PS5 and Xbox Series releases include both a visuals-focused mode and a performance mode that reaches 60 fps.
Microsoft has not officially detailed the Xbox Series technical specs, but they are expected to mirror the PS5 setup: native 4K at 30 fps and a dynamic 4K mode capable of 60 fps. The PC edition supports maximum graphical settings, though platform differences are largely limited to resolution and frame rate.
The comparison underscores what the Switch 2 can achieve, particularly its balance between visual fidelity and stability. While it trails the current-generation consoles in raw performance, the results demonstrate a noticeable step forward for Nintendo’s new hardware.
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is slated to launch on January 22, 2026 for Xbox Series X|S and Switch 2.
