Climbing Will Have to Wait — Cairn’s Release Delayed Until 2026
The release of The Game Bakers’ climbing simulator has been moved from late 2025 to the first quarter of 2026. In Cairn, players step into the shoes of professional climber Aava as she attempts to conquer a peak long regarded as unreachable.
Creative director Emeric Toa noted in a press release:
“We’ve run extensive playtests and player feedback confirms that Cairn is something special. We also see many ways to refine the experience to make it truly unforgettable. After five years of development there’s no reason to rush — we want to be proud of the final version.”
On October 13, 2025, the game will receive an updated demo. It will introduce a ghost feature that lets players race one another to the summit of Mount Tendzen.
More than 600,000 people have already tried the demo, and on Steam it has earned “Very Positive” reviews.
