CI Games moved the release of Lords of the Fallen 2 to the first quarter of 2027. The studio aims to avoid competing with GTA VI and wants more time to polish the final product.
CEO Marek Tymiński explained the delay as a strategic move during a recent interview. He noted that the team needs additional development time and intends to steer clear of the late-year release window crowded by Rockstar Games.
The shift does not affect the development schedule for Sniper Ghost Warrior Evolve. However, Tymiński expects a delay of several months for Project H.
Lords of the Fallen 2 is already playable from start to finish. The team now focuses on balancing, final polish, and closed beta testing before the end of the year. An external studio handles the version currently in development for the Switch 2.
Interest in the title remains high. Players have added the game to their Steam wishlists over 300,000 times since the store page launched on June 5.
