Acclaimed actor Chris Pine (Star Trek, Hell or High Water) is set to take the lead in Universal Pictures’ latest romantic comedy, The Catch. He joins the previously cast Emma Stone in what is shaping up to be a high-profile collaboration.
The project will be helmed by director Dave McCary (Brigsby Bear), Stone’s husband. The screenplay was developed by Young Rock scribes Patrick Kang and Michael Levin. A heavy-hitting production team is behind the film, featuring Stone, McCary, and Shawn Levy (Stranger Things).
While specific plot details are being kept strictly under wraps, Pine has been staying busy. He recently showcased his latest project at the Sundance Film Festival and is also slated to appear in the sci-fi feature Alpha Gang later this year.
