A star-studded tribute live performance for Chris Cornell has been introduced, that includes Foo Fighters, Metallica, and Ryan Adams, in addition to members of his former bands Soundgarden, Audioslave, and Temple of the Dog. Hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, it takes place at The Forum in Los Angeles on January 16, 2019. In an announcement, Cornell’s widow Vicky wrote, “We are honored to have all these amazing artists and friends come together to pay tribute to and show their love and appreciation for Chris, his music and the mark he’s left on the world. We look forward to sharing this night with all the fans.”
Proceeds from the occasion will profit the Chris and Vicky Cornell Foundation and the Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation. Tickets shall be accessible here, beginning Friday, November 16. Check out the present poster beneath.
Later this month, Cornell’s property will launch a career-spanning box set. Read Pitchfork’s characteristic “Soundgarden’s Chris Cornell Was More Than Just a Grunge Frontman.”
