Vicky Cornell, the widow of Chris Cornell, is suing the late singer’s physician for malpractice, TMZ stories. According to the report, Vicky Cornell claims that Dr. Robert Koblin prescribed Chris too many prescribed drugs over the past couple of years of his life “without even examining [him], performing lab studies… anything to determine if Chris was in danger.” Vicky Cornell and her two youngsters are allegedly suing for unspecified damages.
The lawsuit reportedly states that Cornell was prescribed an excessive amount of Lorazepam, specifically, which allegedly “increases the risk of suicide in addiction-prone individuals by impairing judgment and rational thinking.” (Lorazepam was present in Cornell’s system on the time of his dying, a toxicology report revealed.)
According to TMZ, Vicky Cornell claims that “Dr. Koblin never warned Chris about the dangers of suicide or other side effects of long-term Lorazepam use.” In addition, the go well with allegedly states that Dr. Koblin permitted his employees to put in writing Lorazepam prescriptions for Chris Cornell “without showing any medical necessity or providing any monitoring.”
Chris Cornell died by suicide in May 2017. A toxicology report revealed that varied prescribed drugs have been in his system on the time of his dying.
