Chiefs Owner Teases ‘Unique’ Revelations on Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce in New Show

It’s impossible to narrate the Kansas City Chiefs’ most recent campaigns without acknowledging Taylor Swift’s influence since her relationship with tight end Travis Kelce ignited a cultural phenomenon in 2023.

ESPN’s new six-part docuseries The Kingdom, which chronicles the Chiefs’ pursuit of a third consecutive Super Bowl title in 2024, captures that narrative vividly. At the Aug. 24 premiere, owner Clark Hunt told People that the series offers “a fun, behind-the-scenes look at Travis’ relationship with Taylor.”

“We uncovered new dimensions of that story,” Hunt shared on the red carpet. “Experiencing her first Chiefs game through her perspective was truly distinctive.”

Swift’s inaugural appearance came at the Chiefs vs. Bears matchup in September 2023, sparking the enduring “Tayvis” craze. Today, she’s a constant presence at Arrowhead Stadium, cheering on Kelce from a luxury suite.

Although Swift was absent from The Kingdom’s debut screening, Kelce attended alongside his parents, Donna and Ed. On the red carpet, Ed Kelce attributed his son’s buoyant spirit to “one person — Taylor.”

“Without question,” Ed Kelce added, lauding her recent cameo on the New Heights podcast as “fantastic.” “They’re clearly head over heels for each other.”
