Some Call it a Conspiracy: A Malcolm London Story is a brand new mini-documentary by Strange Loop Studios following Malcolm London, the Chicago poet-turned-activist and rapper who first got here to prominence via his TED Talk about education in 2013. London was arrested on a felony aggravated battery cost for allegedly punching a police officer in 2015, throughout the protests over the wrongful demise of Laquan McDonald by the hands of police. Those prices had been later dropped. As London explains within the documentary, he believes he was the goal of an “orchestrated arrest of someone who was leading protests.” Chance the Rapper makes an look as properly. In 2016, London launched his debut album OPIA. That mission featured different musicians together with Vic Mensa, Jamila Woods, Donnie Trumpet, How to Dress Well, and others.
