Cecil from Final Fantasy IV to Return in Final Fantasy Resonance Trailer

Square Enix has released a new trailer for Final Fantasy Resonance showcasing Captain Cecil Harvey from Final Fantasy IV in a new role.

The new video highlights another Vision joining the game’s other heroes. Cecil refused to let orders override his conscience and went against the king, who demanded absolute obedience. Now, the hero can take on a role that better suits his character and strong moral principles.

The disappointment he experienced has made Cecil more withdrawn and embittered, while his light and dark sides manifest in unusual ways, turning the captain into a dangerous opponent. At the same time, he appears capable of controlling both his best and worst impulses.

In Final Fantasy Resonance, Cecil will join heroes such as Terra, Squall, and Zidane. The game will be released on October 22, 2026.
