Cast Announced for ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ Series

David Oyelowo and Viola Prettejohn have been cast as the leads in an upcoming television adaptation of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Developed for Sky, the series draws inspiration from Stieg Larsson’s iconic novel, marking the latest screen iteration of the first installment in the celebrated Millennium trilogy.

Oyelowo is set to portray journalist Mikael Blomkvist, while Prettejohn will step into the role of the enigmatic hacker Lisbeth Salander. The narrative follows their investigation into the decades-old disappearance of Harriet Vanger from her affluent family’s estate. As they delve deeper, the pair uncovers a web of dark family secrets and historical crimes that powerful forces would prefer to keep buried.

The series is being penned by writers Steven Bouchard and Ellen Rachel Cogan. The project is a collaborative effort between Left Bank Pictures, Amazon MGM Studios, and Sky.
