Devoted admirers of Carly Rae Jepsen’s third studio album, Emotion, are in for a treat as the pop icon commemorates its tenth anniversary with a deluxe reissue.
On August 20, Jepsen unveiled plans for a special edition of Emotion, featuring two fresh remixes of her 2015 single “Run Away With Me” by Kyle Shearer and Rostam, plus four entirely new tracks. The first of these, titled “More,” was released on streaming platforms the same day as the announcement.
The remaining bonus songs—“Guardian Angel,” “Back of My Heart,” and “Lost in Devotion”—round out what Jepsen calls the definitive edition of her pop masterpiece. Emotion (10th Anniversary Edition) arrives digitally and as limited-edition vinyl on October 17, available exclusively through her official store.
Originally released in June 2015, Emotion expanded upon the success Jepsen achieved with 2012’s Kiss and her nine-week Billboard Hot 100 chart-topper “Call Me Maybe.” The album spawned hits like “I Really Like You” and “Run Away With Me,” peaked at No. 16 on the Billboard 200, and secured a spot on Billboard’s list of the decade’s best albums.
Since then, Jepsen has released four more records, most recently The Loveliest Time in 2023, a companion piece to 2022’s The Loneliest Time, which reached No. 19 on the Billboard 200.
