Carla Morrison Announces First New Album in 5 Years, El Renacimiento 

The Mexican singer/songwriter also announced a run of headlining tour dates, will open Coldplay’s 2022 shows in Mexico

Carla Morrison has announced El Renacimiento her first album of new material since 2015’s Amor Supremo. The LP is due out April 29 via Cosmica. She’s also announced a new run of headlining tour dates, kicking off in May in Los Angeles at the Greek Theatre. Morrison is also opening for Coldplay on the Mexico dates of their 2022 world tour. El Renacimiento features the previously released singles “Ansiedad,” “No Me Llames,” “Obra de Arte,” and “Contigo.” Of the new album, Morrison said in a statement: 

“My most personal album yet. My other albums focused on my relationship with others, this one focuses on my relationship with myself. It’s as of now, the place where I live now. I shine bright, I’m in love and I’m content with my darkness and my light.”

Morrison’s last project was 2017’s Amor Supremo Desnudo, featuring all-acoustic versions of the songs on her 2015 LP.
