As revealed simply months in the past, Sept. 20 marks a really big day for Cardi B and Offset. It’s the one 12 months anniversary of the couple’s secret marriage ceremony, a month earlier than their public onstage engagement in October 2017.
The “Bodak Yellow” rapper took to Instagram to share a photograph from their low key marriage ceremony day. “TBT …September 20th,” she wrote alongside a snapshot of herself in a white gown holding arms with the Migos member.
In a June tweet after information broke that the couple was married, Cardi wrote, “There are so many moments that I share with the world after which there are moments that I need to hold for myself. Getting married was a type of moments! Our relationship was so new breaking apart and making up and we had plenty of rising as much as do however we was so in love we did not need to lose one another.”
She continued, noting that “one morning in September we awoke and determined to get married. We discovered somebody to marry us, and he or she did, simply the 2 of us and my cousin. I mentioned I do, with no gown and no make up and no ring! I recognize and love my husband a lot for nonetheless wanting for me to have that particular second that each woman goals of when he acquired down on one knee and put a hoop on my finger and he did that for me!!”
