Cardi B Defends Lavish Birthday For Daughter Kulture: ‘Imma Live My Childhood Dreams Thru My Kids’

Parents always strive to give their kids the things they never had. But when your parents are world-famous rappers, well, those things might sparkle a bit more than a new mountain bike.

Take Cardi B and Offset‘s daughter Kulture Kiari Cephus. The couple’s little princess got the royal treatment for her third birthday party this weekend, complete with a regal party that include a ride to the soiree in a horse and carriage, a greeting party of Disney princesses and a glittery necklace that looked like it could pay off a Midwestern family’s whole mortgage.

The diamond neck piece from jeweler Eliantte had five charms representing a purse like the Hermès Birkin Offset gifted her for her second birthday, as well as the Chanel logo, Minnie Mouse, her first initial “K,” and a heart with a pink polka dot bow tied around it.

It was a lot, and some Twitter users took the opportunity to call out Cardi for what they considered to be overly extravagant spending on a child’s birthday. “This is the worst thing a parent could do to their kids,” wrote one, even as many other supported Cardi’s desire to give Kulture the life she never had.

And you better believe Cardi had something to say about all of it. “Listen imma live my childhood dreams thru my kids,” Cardi tweeted on Sunday (July 11), adding, “Yes why not ? Princess parties ,unlimited toys , vacations and Pools my kid loves the pool and I went to the pool like 5 times in my childhood. Different flavor cereal not just Raisin Bran,” she added a short time later.

And in case your ears were too clogged with haterade to hear her, the rapper — who is pregnant with the couple’s second child — put a diamond-fine point on it in a third tweet. “They want me to be just as miserable as them .Same ol s— .Then speak about it for a week and play victim like if I started with them,” she wrote. “You can’t show people you happy here it make b—-es pull their coochie hairs.”
