Olivia Rodrigo is giving fans more of a taste of Sour, her upcoming debut album, through her heartbreak hotline.
The 18-year-old pop star aired a promo for her album during a commercial break on Saturday Night Live‘s latest episode on Saturday (May 15), where she made her debut as a musical guest and performed her Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit “Drivers License” and new song “Good 4 U.” Styled like a nostalgic commercial with lyrical and aesthetic references to her previously released songs, her Sour promo asks viewers, “Suffer from a broken heart? Do you eat strawberry ice cream at every meal? Do you want to scream real loud? The next time you’re heartbroken, don’t get sweet. Get Sour by Olivia Rodrigo.”
When fans call the Sour Heartbreak Hotline at 323-622-SOUR (7687), they’ll hear a message from Rodrigo where she comforts the brokenhearted with a “free taste,” aka snippets of the 11 songs featured on her upcoming album. She also lets her callers know know that they can call the number for “more flavors” of Sour.
The album includes previously released “Drivers License” and “Deja Vu,” which made Rodrigo the first artist to send her first two proper singles straight onto the Hot 100 chart in the top 10, as well as “Good 4 U.”
Sour will be released on May 21 via Geffen Records. See the SNL commercial about Sour below, and call the Heartbreak Hotline at 323-622-SOUR (7687).
