Anyone who jumps into Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare shall be greeted with new splash screens advocating for Black Lives Matter.
Infinity Ward rolled out a small replace final evening for Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare that modified the game’s splash and loading screens to a black display screen titled, “Black Lives Matter.”
It goes on to relay a message of help to the Black neighborhood and everybody’s struggle towards racism and inequality. It is tough to overlook.
“The systemic inequalities our community experiences are once again center stage. Call of Duty and Infinity Ward stand for equality and inclusion. We stand against the racism and injustice our Black community endures. Until change happens and Black Lives Matter, we will never truly be the community we strive to be,” it reads.
This comes after each Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Mobile delayed their new season launches. Earlier this week, Infinity Ward made a dedication to eradicate racist user content in its games by ramping up moderation efforts and dealing on new reporting instruments.
