The global icons of BTS are asserting their dominance in the cinematic new visual for “Hooligan,” a standout track from their ARIRANG project. The music video plunges RM, Jimin, Jin, j-hope, SUGA, V, and Jung Kook into a high-concept dystopian odyssey where they reign supreme.
Unveiled on Tuesday (April 7), the clip showcases the septet delivering sharp, synchronized choreography across a series of desolate landscapes choked with dust and fog. In a particularly striking sequence, the group gathers atop a crimson pedestal as a phalanx of masked performers circles them, all while a monolithic fortress looms in the distance. Elsewhere, the members navigate a gale-force corridor as gravity-defying onlookers drift weightlessly through the air.
RM’s gritty verses anchor the track’s aggressive energy: “Watch this, watch this beat goin’ hooligan / We pop out, we actin’ a fool again,” he declares during the hypnotic refrain. “Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha, hooligan / Watch this, watch this beat goin’ hooligan.”
“Hooligan” adds another layer to the visual tapestry of the ARIRANG era. The album, which debuted in March, has already commanded the top spot on the Billboard 200 for two consecutive weeks. This latest release follows the polished aesthetic established by previous hits, including the Hot 100 chart-topper “SWIM” and the futuristic “2.0.”
The video’s arrival comes just 48 hours before the group embarks on their highly anticipated world tour, beginning with a three-night residency at Goyang Stadium in South Korea. The global trek is scheduled to run through next March, bringing the septet to major cities across North America, Europe, Australia, and Asia. Fans are also eagerly awaiting a hidden track produced by SUGA, a detail RM recently teased during a Weverse livestream.
