However, during a recent appearance on the Elvis Duran Show, the group opened up about the high-profile figures who triggered the same sense of awe they typically inspire in their devoted ARMY.
In an interview released on April 1, RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook discussed the notable personalities who have attended their live performances. SUGA was the first to reflect on the experience, noting that it is particularly surreal when the idols of his youth show up in the audience. “When artists I looked up to as a kid attend our show, those are the moments I truly feel starstruck,” he shared.
RM specifically recalled a memorable encounter with Oscar winner Matthew McConaughey. “I remember Matthew McConaughey brought his son to our show back in 2019,” RM noted, adding that meeting him backstage was a highlight because of his deep admiration for the film Interstellar.
The group also expressed mutual respect for their peers in the music industry. j-hope revealed his surprise upon discovering that pop singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams had been in the crowd at a previous concert. “I found out later that Gracie Abrams was there,” he said. “She is such a phenomenal artist, so it feels quite surreal to have talent like that supporting our music.”

Following the release of their first full-length project since 2020, the septet also launched a behind-the-scenes documentary on Netflix. During their chat with Duran, they teased details about the film and their highly anticipated upcoming world tour.
On a lighter note, the members debated who among them would be most capable of surviving alone in the wilderness. RM quickly pointed to SUGA as the clear choice. “He’s like a walking GPT,” RM joked, citing SUGA’s extensive trivia knowledge and practical wisdom. “He knows everything.”
