BTS‘ “Butter” continues atop Billboard‘s Songs of the Summer chart (dated Aug. 14).
Plus, The Kid LAROI and Justin Bieber‘s “Stay” debuts on the seasonal survey, as it hits No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The 20-position Songs of the Summer running tally tracks the most popular titles based on cumulative performance on the weekly streaming-, airplay- and sales-based Hot 100 from Memorial Day through Labor Day (this year encompassing charts dated June 12 through Sept. 11). At the end of the season, the top song of the summer will be revealed.
“Butter” holds atop the Songs of the Summer chart over Olivia Rodrigo’s “Good 4 U”; Dua Lipa’s “Levitating,” featuring DaBaby; and Doja Cat’s “Kiss Me More,” featuring SZA, as the three songs remain at Nos. 2, 3 and 4, respectively, and The Weeknd and Ariana Grande’s “Save Your Tears” rises to the top five (6-5).
Meanwhile, The Kid LAROI and Bieber’s “Stay” enters the Songs of the Summer list at No. 19 as it takes over atop the Hot 100. The Kid LAROI notches his second Songs of the Summer hit, joining prior single “Without You,” which holds at its No. 12 high. Bieber banks his 10th entry, a run that began with “Boyfriend” in 2012 and includes the top title on the season-ending 2017 Songs of the Summer chart: Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee’s “Despacito,” featuring Bieber.
