BTS announced the two-day “Muster Sowoozoo” livestream event on Monday (May 24), which will celebrate the K-pop superstars’ eighth anniversary and ARMY on June 13-14. More information about tickets for the digital party for the seven-man South Korean boy band and their fans will be released soon, according to a statement.
The second night of the Sowoozoo will feature a “world tour” version of the show with some of the group’s foreign language songs. Speaking of which, BTS beamed into Sunday night’s (May 23) 2021 Billboard Music Awards for a very special run through of their second English-language hit, “Butter.” Like its predecessor, “Dynamite,” it came out of the gate galloping, racking up more than 20.9 million global streams on its first day, setting a record for the biggest single day of streaming in Spotify history, according to the statement.
The colorful video for the song also broke the band’s own record and set a new all-time 24-hour record of 108.2 million views and reached a record for the biggest music video premiere on YouTube with 3.9 million concurrents. BTS had a big night at Sunday’s BBMAs, winning all four awards they were up for: top selling song, top duo/group, top song sales and top social artist.
