Bruno Mars & Anderson .Paak Drop Retro Soul Video For Buttery ‘Smokin’ Out the Window’

Anderson .Paak and Bruno Mars take it all the way back to the 1970s Soul Train era in the retro video for their Silk Sonic single “Smokin’ Out the Window.” The visual for the third song to drop so far from the dynamic duo’s upcoming joint album finds them going through their choreo on an old school TV set while rocking wide lapel tuxedo jackets.

“Must have spent 35, $45,000 up in Tiffany’s (oh no)/ Got her bad ass kids runnin round my whole crib like it’s Chuck E Cheese (whoa, whoa)/ Put me in a jam with her ex-man in the UFC/ Can’t believe it (can’t believe it)/ I’m in disbelief,” Mars croons over the spare soul track. “This b—h got me payin her rent, payin for trips, diamonds on her neck, diamonds on her wrists/ And here I am all alone (all alone)/ I’m so cold, I’m so cold, you got me out here,” .Paak adds before the pair combine for the swoony chorus.

“Smokin out the window (smoking out the window)/ Singing how could she do this to me (how could she do this to me)/ Oh I thought that girl belonged to only me/ But I was wrong Cuz she belong to everybody, everybody,” they sing in the clip co-directed by Mars and John Esparza. “Smokin'” follows on the heels of the similarly throwback-sounding previous singles “Leave the Door Open” and “Skate,” which are slated to appear on their upcoming duo debut, An Evening With Silk Sonic, due out on Nov. 12.
