Hot new country artist Brittney Spencer has signed with United Talent Agency (UTA) for booking.
Next stop for Spencer, who released her newest single, “Sober & Skinny” last month, is opening for Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit, as well as playing Merlefest, The Melissa Etheridge Cruise and Cayamo Cruise 2022.
“I’m so excited to partner with UTA,” said Spencer in a statement. “I’m confident this partnership will aid in helping me find creative, innovative ways to build out my live show and connect with lots of music lovers along the way. Live shows are finally back, and I feel more ready than ever with this incredible new addition to my team.”
Spencer became a viral sensation last fall with her cover of The Highwomen’s “Crowded Table.” After posting her version on Twitter, Highwomen members Maren Morris and Amanda Shires retweeted her snippet of the song and invited her to share a stage with them.
Since then, the Baltimore native has continued to make inroads in Nashville, becoming a Pandora and Spotify 2021 artist to watch as well as a member of the CMT’s Next Women of Country class of 2021. She has written with Morris and Shires, as well as Brandy Clark, Blanco Brown, Jimmie Allen, Runaway June’s Jennifer Wayne, Isbell, Ashley Monroe and Hailey Whitters over the last several months.
“We are incredibly honored to represent such an amazingly talented artist such as Brittney,” said UTA agent Jeffrey Hasson. “Brittney’s ability to tackle deep and relatable subject matters with such power and control vocally is inspiring. It was clear to us from the first meeting that Brittney has such an important voice for the future, and we’re honored to help share that with the world through every area at UTA.”
Spencer is managed by Andrew Cohen at Cohencidence Projects and handled by Hasson, Alec Vidmar, Joe Wohlfeld, Riley Folsom and Emily Wright at UTA.
