Brie Larson Shows Off the ‘Magic’ of BLACKPINK’s Rosé With a Cover of ‘On the Ground’: Watch

Is Brie Larson a BLINK?! The Oscar-winning actress showed off her musical skills in a video shared to her social media accounts on Monday (May 11), and in it, she covers “On the Ground,” the first solo single from Rosé of BLACKPINK.

In the clip, the Captain Marvel star is sitting in a room glowing in golden light. With her blonde wavy locks tossed to one side, the actress starts strumming her acoustic guitar before launching into the lyrics of the emotional song about finding happiness.

“My life’s been magic, seems fantastic I used to have a hole in the wall with a mattress/ Funny when you want it, suddenly you have it/ You find out that your gold’s just plastic,” Larson begins before passionately crooning the chorus with her eyes closed. “I worked my whole life/ Just to get right, just to be like/ ‘Look at me, I’m never coming down’/ I worked my whole life/ Just to get high, just to realize/ Everything I need is on the/ Everything I need is on the ground.”

The actress, who is currently reprising her role as Carol Danvers (aka Captain Marvel) in the upcoming film The Marvels, captioned the nearly 50-second clip “A little ROSÉ magic for you.” She also tagged the K-pop superstar on Instagram.

Rosé showed her appreciation via her Instagram Stories on Tuesday. The singer, who released her solo project -R- in March, shared Larson’s video and tagged her, adding “<3.”

“On the Ground” debuted in the No. 1 spot on Billboard‘s March 27-dated Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts, while debuting at No. 70 on the Billboard Hot 100.
