Borderlands 4 Creator Randy Pitchford Wants to Find the Person Who Made Him Laugh and Return the Favor

A short conversation sparked the creator’s imagination and gave him ideas for new content.

The head of Gearbox recently spoke up again on social media, sharing a humorous encounter.

Randy Pitchford was visiting Australia when an amusing exchange occurred:

“In Australia, while going through the body scanner at the airport, a guy operating the scanner stopped me and asked, ‘Has anyone ever told you that you look like Randy Pitchford?’ ”

“…and I just replied, ‘I am Randy Pitchford.’ He asked to shake my hand, then had me go through the scanner again because the machine didn’t like my shirt.”

The incident clearly stuck with Pitchford — he now wants to find the man again and pay tribute to him in a game:

“If anyone can locate this guy and convince him to contact me, I’d like to honor him with an NPC, or a gun, or a side quest. He really made my day :)”
