Bon Iver and the National’s Eaux Claires Festival Won’t Return in 2019

For the final 4 years, Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon and the National’s Aaron Dessner have held the Eaux Claires pageant in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. The organizers have introduced that they’re taking the yr off in 2019 and can carry it again in 2020.

“While it will be hard for us to break the chain of momentum and the positive impact the festival has had on our community, we have fresh, clear ideas of how to make it even better,” a press release on the pageant’s website reads.

In July 2018, the fourth annual Eaux Claires pageant occurred. The lineup was introduced shortly before the pageant started. Vernon and Dessner performed songs from their collaborative challenge Big Red Machine. Bryce Dessner, Julien Baker, Arcade Fire’s Richard Reed Parry, and extra additionally carried out.
