Bombora to Publish New Book on the History of the Star Wars Gaming Universe
A new book by Ilya Glazkov is planned, dedicated to the history of the Star Wars gaming universe. Through it, readers will discover how Star Wars titles evolved alongside the industry, which games became cult favorites, and which ones faded into obscurity.
Publisher Bombora has prepared a special treat for fans of the Star Wars franchise, which over the last 48 years has left a deep mark on popular culture.
The franchise has amassed a vast library of games — from pixel-era arcades to celebrated RPGs and action-adventure titles (including Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, and more).
It was recently announced that Bombora and Ilya Glazkov plan to publish a volume focused on the history of Star Wars video games.
Ilya is a veteran journalist who has written for Strana Igr, Igromania, Kinopoisk and Mir Fantastiki. He also gives lectures on film and pop culture — a commentator known for explaining complex ideas in a clear and engaging way.
The book aims to show how Star Wars games transformed alongside the gaming industry, which projects achieved iconic status and which disappeared, and why games are an integral part of the saga rather than mere film tie-ins.
Unfortunately, no release date has been announced yet.
